9Round, a 30-minute kickboxing gym, opened a new location in Jefferson City this September. The fitness program consists of nine exercise stations that provide a full-body workout. There are no set appointment times, so clients can arrive at their convenience, and trainers are available for guidance throughout the workout.

Theo’s Hideout 
Jefferson City’s newest pet service, Theo’s Hideout, opened in early October. The dog daycare offers drop-off between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. Dogs are given time to rest, relax, and socialize throughout the day in a cage- and leash-free environment. Reservations can be made online for plans between half a day to a monthly schedule.

Capitol City CORK has re-opened under new ownership, offering patrons a curated menu and wine list. Capitol City CORK offers customers local, domestic, and international wine selections perfect for any palate. Kraken Bar & Grill
Located on Elm, the Kraken Bar & Grill is serving up fresh seafood, steaks, and American classics. Alton Clark, former manager of a local seafood restaurant, opened the restaurant in early September with the help of his wife, Jennifer. The Kraken is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Unique Creations Candle Bar is opening on High Street. Unique Creations’ Candle Bar is a scent experience where customers can get creative mixing scents and pouring their own candles. Both single and group spaces are available through reservation.

Sue’s Machine Quilting Company
High Street is now home to Sue Christian’s quilt shop, Sue’s Machine Quilting Company. With the help of her husband, James, Sue moved her shop from her basement to its new location to accommodate the 14-foot quilting arm that creates her quilts. Her storefront displays a wall of quilts that Sue has already made, but she also creates custom quilts for her clients in a variety of sizes.
