WHAT IS YOUR AREA OF EXPERTISE?
I am president of Legends Bank, a $350 million family-owned bank based out of Linn, Missouri. I interact with every area of the bank, but my background is in finance and accounting.
WHAT PROMPTED YOUR INTEREST IN THIS PROFESSION?
Banking has a long history in my family, with my grandfather being one of the co-founders of Legends Bank in 1913.
WHAT IS YOUR BUSINESS PHILOSOPHY?
Our philosophy is to make the communities in which we do business better places to work and live. We have deep roots in Jefferson City and Central Missouri, so this isn’t just a tag line, it’s the way we live.
WHAT MAKES YOU AND YOUR COMPANY STAND OUT FROM YOUR COMPETITION?
I would say it’s that we are committed to our employees, customers, and communities in the long-term. We work through short-term struggles with the vision of long-term commitment and success.
HOW DOES YOUR PROFESSION BENEFIT THE COMMUNITY?
We benefit the community by investing in the future of our local customers. Local banks are the life blood of their communities, so our success, ultimately, is their success.
WHAT KIND OF CHARITY INVOLVEMENT DO YOU PARTICIPATE IN?
Whether it’s Relay for Life, United Way, the local Lions Club, or School Boards, we are heavily involved in charities throughout our markets of Cole, Osage, Franklin, Maries, Gasconade, and Phelps counties.
