A few reasons to make brunch plans this weekend.
Does brunch have an origin? No one really knows. But what is known is that once a week, family and friends worldwide meet up to enjoy this midday meal where boozy drinks are just as important as the food. At Big Whiskey’s American Restaurant & Bar, guests can satisfy their cravings, and their thirst, every weekend.
The Late Riser Wrap
The morning alarms are sounding off, but it would be a shame to hit the snooze button on this dish. The late riser wrap includes fluffy scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, breakfast potatoes, and shredded pepper jack cheese all wrapped up in a flour tortilla to create a filling meal without the mess.
The Steak & Egg Skillet
What better way to wakeup than with the sizzling sound of Big Whiskey’s steak and egg skillet? This dish is filled with scrambled eggs and Cajun seasoned steak tips served on a bed of breakfast potatoes and topped with a savory bleu cheese cream sauce.
The Brunch Melt
Just as the name implies, this sandwich was made for brunching and it melts in the mouth with every bite. Crafted with hand-breaded crispy chicken, hardwood smoked bacon, melted pepper jack cheese, and a fried egg, the brunch melt is an entire breakfast conveniently stacked between two slices of grilled sourdough.
Abby’s Cali Tacos
Tacos so nice they make them thrice! A tasty trio of breakfast tacos, these flour tortillas are stuffed to the brim with seasoned grilled chicken, a mix of sautéed peppers and onions, fresh diced avocado, and sprinkled with blended shredded cheese on the top. Served with salsa and crispy breakfast potatoes on the side, these tacos are sure to keep guests full until lunchtime.
Pickled Mary — Made with Tito’s Vodka, the pickled Mary is more on the traditional side with three green olives, a lime wedge, and celery stalk. But add in a whole pickle with celery salt on the rim, and this beverage creates the perfect balance between vinegar and spice.
Big A** Bloody Mary — Also made with Tito’s Vodka, this zesty bloody Mary is loaded with larger-than-life ingredients when topped with a chilled barbecued rib spear, crispy hickory smoked bacon, and rimmed with barbecue sauce, bits of bacon, and sea salt.
Buffalo Marty — The buffalo Marty utilizes Buffalo Trace bourbon whiskey and a dash of hot buffalo sauce to get its unique flavor. While the buffalo Marty still packs some punch, this drink is smooth, savory, and garnished with two buffalo wontons with ranch seasoning on the rim.
Michelada — Have a beer, but add a little…spice. The Michelad a combines a summer favorite (Corona) with lime, Sriracha, Tabasco, a dash of Worcestershire sauce and served over ice with a fresh lime wedge. If that doesn’t spice things up, it also comes rimmed with a zesty Cajun seasoning.
Loaded Frozen Coffee — Nope, this isn’t a dream— but it sure tastes like one! Blended with Bailey’s Irish Cream, Crown Royal Vanilla, cold brew coffee, a splash of butterscotch liquor, and a drizzle of chocolate, this is a loaded frozen coffee. And don’t forget about the whipped cream and caramel sauce.
Matty’s White Russian — When ordering a Matty’s white Russian, patrons can indulge in a delicious beverage as well as a sweet morning snack. Crafted with Tito’s Vodka, Kahlua, and whole milk, this drink is delicious by itself but definitely hits the sweet spot with its powdered waffle garnish.
Life’s a Peach Mimosa — Where would a good brunch time be without a bit of bubbly Prosecco? Big Whiskey’s life’s a peach mimosa uses the perfect mix of Peach Schnapps, plenty of Lamarca Prosecco, and just a splash of orange juice before it’s topped with a fresh strawberry garnish.
