Shannon Imler and his wife, Katie, opened their second Ice Cream Factory location in late February. The couple opened their first location in Eldon last April. Their new 1,200-square-foot ice cream shop, located at 701 Madison St., offers more than 30 flavors of ice cream, various toppings, iced lattes, frappes, and slushies. The shop also sells pre-packaged gallons and pints of ice cream. All of their ice creams are made with a 14% butterfat mix and produced in Eldon. The Ice Cream Factory is open seven days a week from 10:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Love2Nourish has opened its second Jefferson City location inside Studio573 at Capital Mall. The café offers a complete coffee bar, smoothies, smoothie bowls, overnight protein oats, avocado toast, and baked snacks. They also have a full stock of Love2Nourish meals for online orders. Owner Laurel Dunwoody opened Love2Nourish in 2015 to provide healthy, nutritious meals that are locally sourced. She hopes the new location will help provide more contact-free meals to customers on the westside.

Owner Nacona Gaona held the grand opening for her store, Chicken Lipz Boutique, located at 310 Jefferson St., on May 5. The boutique offers trendy women and children’s clothing, along with gifts, toys, home decor, and customized graphic T-shirts. Goana originally operated Chicken Lipz in Mountain View until she purchased the new location in late February. The shop is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

Missouri Hospice and Palliative Care Association held the grand opening for their new location at 627 W. McCarty St., Ste. 202. The association educates and advocates for hospice statewide. The new space has a training room for rent with seating for up to 50 people.

Owner Kim Pope-Reason opened The Vibe Salon, located at 118 E. Dunklin St., on May 4. Pope has worked as a hairstylist in JC since 2010 and is certified in color, clipper cutting, and Brazilian blowout smoothing. The salon also specializes in hair cuts, perms, facial waxing, and other salon services. The Vibe Salon is open Wednesday through Saturday, and services are by appointment only.

The Bump Boutique, located at 312 Stadium Blvd., has opened its doors, offering new and gently used maternity clothing. In addition to their flexible clothing that leaves room for mothers to grow throughout pregnancy, the store also offers nursing apparel, accessories, diaper bags, and rental dresses for maternity photoshoots. Bump Boutique is currently accepting fall attire and is open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays.
