High Rise Bakery
High Rise Bakery opened this spring, treating Jefferson City to a variety of brunch classics such as eggs benedict and chicken and waffles. Ben Huhman of The Grand Café, opened the space to handle the demand at the Grand’s limited space. Baked goods, boxed lunches, and, of course, coffee have made the bakery a local favorite already.

Sassy But Classy Boutique
A new Jefferson City boutique, which was opened this June, offering women unique items that can’t be found locally. The boutique, which was opened by Brianne Hagenhoff, offers clothing, jewelry, gifts, shoes, and an extended range of sizes from XS to 3X.

The Tavern
Sal Nuccio, owner of Eastside Tavern in Columbia, opened The Tavern in Old Munichburg this May with the hopes of bringing a traditional bar back to the neighborhood. The Tavern features a pool table, game room, and karaoke, and Nuccio plans to add both comedy nights and live music in the future.

Big Whiskey’s American Restaurant & Bar
