Holiday Shows with Heart
Branson is known as the live music capital of Missouri, so it’s no surprise that during the festive season, the curtains rise on something extra special. Dolly Parton’s Stampede, decorated with twinkling lights and evergreens, wows audiences with performers dressed in old-fashioned holiday costumes as they showcase the beauty and skill of their majestic horses. A four-course meal accompanies the Christmas special. Legends in Concert, a Branson staple, features classic Christmas tunes and a visit from Santa himself. Holiday traditions from across the globe are
celebrated in The Dutton’s Christmas Show, a musical performance with some comedy and magic that make it completely unforgettable. At Shepherd of the Hills Farm, audiences dine on a full turkey dinner while watching a performance that celebrates the importance of family and traditions during the holiday season.

An Old Time Christmas
Silver Dollar City’s holiday extravaganza, An Old Time Christmas, has been recognized as one of the best theme park events in the country. Starting in early November, the park is illuminated by more than 6 million twinkling lights and over 1,000 decorated trees. But the fun doesn’t stop there. A light parade, led by Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, takes place twice daily, and the restaurants and concession stands serve up mouth-watering seasonal treats. Guests can catch a Broadway-style show, like “A Dickens’ Christmas Carol,” for a fun and heartfelt reminder of the joy of the season.
For a lively experience, head to the Silver Dollar Saloon for a wild west holiday show that features singing and plenty of opportunities for guests to join in the fun. To see the wonder on display throughout the entire park, hop aboard the Frisco Sing-Along Steam Train.

Often, Santa and Mrs. Claus will stop by for a visit. A 63-foot-tall, animated Christmas tree decorates Branson Landing, which includes over 100 specialty shops and restaurants. For those looking to load up on stocking stuffers, Dick’s 5&10, one of the last five-and-dime stores still in operation, offers quirky souvenirs, collectibles, fun snacks, and gag gifts galore. Small-batch, handcrafted gifts and goodies are the College of the Ozarks students’ specialty. The campus store is full of baked goods, candles, gift boxes, and even quilts that make perfect gifts.
