When and how did you get into personal training and athletic development?
I started working in the fitness industry in 2007, butI have been engulfed in all things exercise and fitness since high school, largely due to my passion and success in the sport of wrestling.

What sets you apart from your competition?
My motive. My goal is to provide customers with a life-changing experience that fits anyone’s budget. I reopened Downtown Fitness to help as many people as possible better their lives.

How do you define success?
My approach is more unconventional. Do something hard every day. Whether that be running a mile when you haven’t run since high school or walking around the block on your lunch break, or reading 30 minutes a day, whatever it is that you consider hard…do that every day. And when that doesn’t seem hard anymore, push the envelope and continue to grow.

What’s one thing you wish everyone knew?
The only way people grow is by getting put in uncomfortable situations and learning to navigate their mind, body, and emotions and grow from each experience or challenge. The only reason I know this works is because I put myself through it each and every day. There is no exercise or workout I ask anyone to do that I, myself, have not attempted or completed.
