Schlup uses as many Missouri-made products as she can; their dry food options are never outsourced. They also get their baked treats from local Barnes Bakery and Pupcakery. Brittany wants to make sure that prices are low, which is why they have a loyalty program on bagged food so frequent buyers can save money. They look for vendors that put quality first, giving them a varied assortment of products and setting them apart from larger retailers.

Sweet Smoke BBQ is owned by Lila Backes and John Biggs, who also own Downtown Diner. Brisket, pulled pork, turkey, and other barbecue meats are smoked low and slow daily. They also offer carry-out and catering. Biggs, a former executive chef, is more than happy to expand the menu upon catering request.

A Jefferson City staple, Busch’s Florist & Greenhouse underwent a renovation on their greenhouse this past month and their storefront earlier this fall. Built in 1890, the shop functions as a custom potting studio and retail space featuring items like an old rose gold cooler and 1950s Chevy garden truck. Also enjoy their beautiful selection of parlor palms and exotic houseplants.
