What is your product or service?
We provide custom screen printed and embroidered apparel as well as promotionalitems for our client’s business, group, or organization.
When and how did you get into this industry?
Stacey & I graduated from JCHS and Nichols Career Center’s Commercial Art in 1989. I moved to the Lake of the Ozarks for a graphic artist position in the retail apparel and gift industry. In 1993, I moved back to Jefferson City for a graphic artist position in a local sign shop. Stacey and I reconnected and had an urge to own our own business. In 1995, we had an opportunity to purchase the screen printing equipment and a book of business from the company I worked for and that took us back to the lake. Later, we moved our business back home to Jefferson City for consistent, year-round work.
What sets you apart from your competition?
We believe consistency, flexibility, and the desire to always want to improve ourselves, as well as our products and services.
What’s one thing you wish everyone knew about your industry?
There are a lot of moving parts to completing every order. It takes a dedicated team with good communication, support, and a strong work ethic from all of our staff to be as successful as we are and have been for over 25 years.
What’s been your biggest struggle that you overcame?
Not truly knowing our numbers in the early years and thinking we knew more than we did. We had some good people in our lives and some honest conversations that helped us to see what we were missing and helped us learn what was needed to survive and become successful. We still seek and appreciate the knowledge of others today.
How do you define success and how do you celebrate a win?
We feel success is defined by the people in our everyday lives that choose to use our business or services and are willing to spend their quality time with us. In the office, we generally celebrate wins with office lunch parties, bonuses, or personal gifts.
