Janet Elliot, MD, MPH, FACOEM, has been elected board president of the Central States Occupational and Environmental Medicine Association. CSOEMA is one of the largest groups under the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, the nation’s largest medical society dedicated to promoting the health of workers through preventive medicine, clinical care, research and education.

Dr. Elliot has more than 30 years of occupational-medicine experience and is board-certified in occupational medicine. In addition to caring for injured workers, Elliot provides employee physicals, drug screens, respirator qualifications, hearing evaluations and other services to comply with regulatory requirements at St. Mary’s Occupational Medicine, located at St. Mary’s Creektrail in Jefferson City.
