Know someone who makes an Impact in JCMO?

It’s Who We Are
Did you know that giving back is actually good for your physical and mental health? It’s true! And with that being the case, these might be some of the healthiest individuals you know.
Impact JCMO recognizes individuals and businesses who are the créme de la créme when it comes to their charitable efforts, and it’s also a wonderful resource providing a directory of nonprofits in our area.
Giving back is part of our culture in Jefferson City, if you haven’t noticed. As they say at United Way, “We’re hand raisers and difference makers.” That couldn’t have been more apparent in what we all witnessed last year. Wasn’t that incredible? There was a force in the air, it seemed. Maybe remnants from the tornado, if you’re into that kind of thing. But a force, nonetheless. It’s so important that we don’t lose that spirit. The work isn’t over, but thanks to our neighbors and the fine human beings in this issue, we are strides ahead of what anyone could have imagined we would be less than a year later.
As you get to know these impactful individuals, I hope it inspires you to find a new nonprofit in the directory to give to this year — or reminds you of one you’ve always cared about. If you haven’t figured out a new year’s resolution yet, consider making volunteering yours. Even if it’s one hour a month or one event a year that you contribute to, we can all do a teeny bit more. We’re busy people, it’s true. But we are also kind, generous, and willing to help. That’s why we are #JCStrong.
