Originally built in 1915 as a single-family residence, this captivating 1,906 square foot building has housed multiple families over the decades, each adding their own chapter to its rich history. Today, the home has been thoughtfully repurposed by Signature Homes as an Airbnb, offering guests a unique stay that is also conveniently located.

Known as the “Mid-Town Haven,” it’s the perfect home away from home for visitors to Jefferson City, Missouri. Out-of-town state workers will appreciate the short commute to the Capitol, while wedding guests can enjoy a comfortable stay close to the celebration. Families traveling to upcoming tournaments at the new multi-sports complex at the rock quarry will find it an ideal place to rest and recharge. Plus, with Three Story Coffee and Paddy Malone’s Irish Pub just a short walk away and downtown Jefferson City only half a mile from the doorstep, guests have easy access to great dining and entertainment options.

This beautifully restored Airbnb boasts six cozy beds and three stylish bathrooms, offering a perfect blend of historic charm and modern convenience. While the previous owners made a few changes sometime in the 90s— crafting the elegant arched doorway to the hall on the first floor and slightly raising the ceiling in the dining room — it wasn’t until the full renovation in 2023 that the home truly came back to life. Interior Designer Casey Marsch and Signature Home’s team of contractors thoughtfully gutted and rebuilt most of the house, but they were intentional about preserving its character. Original elements like the warm hardwood floors and the distinctive green brickette tiles over the fireplace were carefully saved, adding a touch of authenticity and vintage appeal to the refreshed space.

As guests step into the Airbnb, they are immediately welcomed by a spacious sitting area, perfect for unwinding at the end of the day. Whether it’s used for watching TV, diving into a good book, or playing a friendly boardgame, the open layout sets the stage for relaxation. This area seamlessly flows into a large, modern kitchen and dining space, where guests can enjoy a meal at the bar or sit at the dining table for a more intimate experience. In the kitchen, Casey thoughtfully replaced the traditional cabinetry with open shelving, streamlining the space without sacrificing functionality. Adding to the unique charm, Casey incorporated a bold Harlequin-patterned backsplash in the kitchen and tartan plaid wallpaper throughout the first floor, creating a distinctive, masculine design that adds sophistication and character. This design choice is not only a standout feature of this home but also ties into an exciting project in the works by Signature Homes: the renovation of the neighboring house, which will be transformed into a larger Airbnb with a more feminine touch, offering a complementary contrast between the two properties.

The two Airbnbs will share the home’s former garage spaces, which have been cleverly transformed into a spacious, well-lit patio area. This outdoor space offers guests the perfect spot to enjoy evenings listening to music or playing a few friendly rounds of cornhole.
