You know what I like to eat during the holidays?
Sauerkraut, egg noodles, and dressing.
Dressing seems like a no-brainer, of course, but sauerkraut and egg noodles?
It’s a tradition my husband’s family has at their holiday meals. Seemed like odd menu items the first time I went to their house, but let me tell you, it is the nicest addition to the plate.
People always ask me, “How’s married life?” The most interesting thing I’ve found is not between Joe (my husband) and me; it’s the way that his family and I have became family. I once wouldn’t have called his uncle on the phone. I would have asked him to call his uncle for me. Now, I have his uncle Kevin at Tyler’s Lock and Key on speed dial.
Where am I going with this?
Family, tradition, happiness, home . . . it can happen in the places you least expect it. Be open to change this season and see what new quality of life you can add to your routine in JCMO.
With new experiences like pouring your own candles at Unique Creations Candle Bar, the warmest patio with a killer happy hour to meet with friends at Big Whiskey’s, and even a new daycare for your fur-babies at Kitty’s Critter Hotel, this season is on the up and up.
Final Thoughts …
Working in the publishing industry has taught me a thing or two. One is how to keep my mouth shut for long periods of time about things I want to tell everyone but can’t yet. It’s hard. My background is in social media and we cover information live. All I have to say is that there are so many extraordinary things coming to town and I can’t wait to share them with you.
