The FREE 31st Annual SALUTE TO VETERANS PARADE begins at 10:00AM on Monday, May 27, Memorial Day, in Jefferson City.
Jim Shipley, a WWII Tuskegee airman from Tipton, will be the grand marshal for the parade.
The parade will start near the intersection of West High Street and Missouri Boulevard and travel east on West High Street to Adams Street before going over to East Capitol Avenue. The parade will then go west on East Capitol Avenue, march around the Capitol building and connect back at the intersection of West High Street and Missouri Boulevard.
Make your feet happy as we RUN or WALK to raise funds to support mental health services for children, families and adults in our community who are in need!
All participants receive a shirt and a cool swag bag to boot! Our top 3 runners in each age division and the top male/female in the 5K will receive awards. The event will have chip timing.

The June Landing After Hours program is “Missouri Pulp & Comic Creators”
Pulp magazines and comic books, the cheap entertainment of 80 years ago, have inspired the blockbuster films of today.
Join Keenan Patterson as he introduces visitors to Missouri writers and artists who contributed to these publications.
Doors to the Lohman Building will open at 6 p.m. and the program will start at 7 p.m. Convenient parking is available in the lot next to the Lohman Building.

THE THIRD ANNUAL JC TRIATHLON: THE GREAT ESCAPE TAKES ATHLETES FROM THE SNAKE SWIM IN THE 4 LANE 50 METER POOL AT ELLIS-PORTER RIVERSIDE PAR, TO A 12 MILE BIKE ON CITY AND RURAL ROADS FROM THE POOL TO THE OUTSKIRTS OF THE NEW MISSOURI STATE PRISON AND BACK TO THE POOL. THE RUN IS FROM THE POOL TO THE OLD HISTORIC MISSOURI STATE PENITENTIARY AND BACK TO THE POOL.
