After a disaster, it is important to take care of your emotional and mental wellness. The amount of distress caused from a traumatic event can be overwhelming and long lasting.
SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital, along with our community provider partners are pleased to host a community discussion session, “Coping with Disaster,” on July 18.
Josh Varner, M. Ed., Social/emotional counselor and coach will present on the following topics:
– Signs and symptoms of distress
– Caring for yourself
– Resources for help
This event is open to the public and will offer FREE child care and food.
