Rockin Bod Studio

Ultrasonic Cavitation Fat Reduction and Radio Frequency Skin Tightening

What is Rockin Bod Studio about?
When you look good, you feel good! So, let’s get to work detoxing your system, destroying (yes, I said destroying) that stubborn fat, and tightening up that skin. Have you done crunches until you thought you’d die, ran until your legs fell off, or tried everything to get rid of that pooch? Have you tried every potion there is for wrinkles? What about cellulite? A rockin’ bod doesn’t have to be painful.

What is your service?
Fat reduction and skin tightening treatments that contour the body and reduce wrinkles.

When and how did you get into this industry?
I started my body contouring journey in early 2022, after receiving a session myself. I fell in love with these treatments and what they provide for people. I am a second-time entrepreneur and have been looking for something new. When I found this, I just knew it was what I’d been searching for.

What’s one thing you wish everyone knew about body contouring?
That it’s different (and in my opinion better) than coolsculpting. There’s no down time and several parts of the body can be treated, including the face.

What sets you apart?
My education within the industry. I have a fully accredited medspa master body contouring certification that only a handful of people in the country have. It’s very important that your tech be thoroughly trained.

How do you stay current with changes in your industry?
I’m in touch with several body contouring specialists throughout the country and still constantly learning. You can never know too much!

What are the top three skills needed to be a master in your industry?
Motivation, education, and technique. It’s really important to love what you do. With passion comes the motivation to do and learn all the rest!

What’s been your biggest struggle – how did you overcome it?
My biggest struggle has been getting the word out that these awesome treatments exist. Body contouring is fairly new to this area, and a lot of people don’t know what it is or how to look for it. I’ve joined the Jefferson City Young Professionals, talked to gyms, and have tried to get in front of the right people — which is way outside my comfort zone. I’ve never really had to network before, so that’s anew thing for me.

How do you define success & how do you celebrate?
Being able to pay my bills and have a little fun. I believe success is relative to your goals. If you set goals and achieve those goals, that’s a success! You just have to keep setting new ones to reach, and eventually, you’ll make it to the top. I usually celebrate my wins by dancing around my studio, telling the people in my circle, and often go out for Thai and Yo Yums.

What are your future goals?
I’d like to win CITY’s Best, grow enough to hire employees, retire early, and travel the world.

When someone is looking to hire a professional in your industry, what should they look for?
Make sure they are certified and that they go over your health to make sure you are a good candidate.

What your company’s motto?
It’s never been so easy to look so good.

What are three words that best describe your business?
Painless, relaxing, and results. A lot of times people take a nap while they get their treatments, and wake up to change!

What’s your favorite part of your job?
Giving people their confidence back! Hearing people tell me they fit into jeans they haven’t been able to wear in years, or how they felt like they didn’t need makeup to go out in public is just the best!

How is community involvement important to your business?
In this industry, you must constantly have new people walking through your door. That means they have to know who you are.

Who are your biggest supporters?
My husband, Josh, and my two best friends.

Do you use any tricks to keep you motivated everyday?
Being a business owner isn’t easy, if it was everyone would do it. You have to be able to be your own light to keep yourself going.

What is your favorite way to unwind?
Sit on the beach. Unfortunately, I don’t live anywhere near one, so I opt for paddleboarding and game nights.

Do you feel like you have work/life balance? If so, how do you do it?
Most of the time. Starting a new business takes a lot more work upfront. But, I have learned a lot about my limits and how to set boundaries for myself. I have to remind myself that I work to live, not live to work.
