Residential Mortgage Lending

What sets you apart from your competition?
We have an ability to look beyond just the numbers and analyze personal circumstances to come to common sense conclusions. We also offer a full array of real estate loan products beginning with standard primary home purchases to construction loans, land loans, and everything in between.

What’s one thing you wish everyone knew about mortgage lending?
Getting a mortgage isn’t as hard as most people outside of the business think. If you generally pay your bills on time, have a steady source of income, and are able to make a monthly rental payment, then there’s a pretty good chance you’d be a good candidate for a mortgage.

What are the top three skills needed to be a master in your industry?
Being highly competitive, cool under pressure, and having an insatiable appetite for knowledge of your craft are all tantamount to being a master mortgage professional.

What’s your favorite part of your job?
The challenging nature of the work. The industry is constantly evolving, and the rules change weekly sometimes. Finding ways to navigate that change and find solutions to problems within the constraints of those rules is what makes this job fun.

What loan product do you offer that most sets RRCU apart?
We’re close to opening a couple of low to no down-payment products geared towards first-time homebuyers and low to moderate income demographics. With how quickly home prices have increased over the years, paired with rising interest rates, affordability has become a concern. As a result, they were left behind in the world of bidding wars and cash offers. These products will help give them the confidence to get back into the market for their dream home.

We’ll also be rolling out a loan product aimed at those who serve our community: law enforcement, EMT, firefighters, healthcare workers, and educators. We want to ensure these professions continue to feel valued and appreciated.

Who is your most trusted resource/supporter?
After 10 years in the industry, there are a handful of current and past co-workers who I like to bounce ideas off or talk to about trends and issues. Beyond that, my wife and kids have always been my biggest supporters and cheerleaders (sometimes literally).
