Tina Newton's Fifth Update

Tina.

Age: 36

Occupation: Photographer

If you could give your 2019-self one piece of advice, what would be? To give myself grace and tell myself that it’s OK to stumble. Take it one day at a time because these quick fixes aren’t the real thing. It’s OK for me to have an off day as long as I pick myself back up.

What’s your game plan for the holidays? I’m just going to keep doing what I’ve been doing. My eating habits haven’t been super bad.

Did you meet your goal? Yes, and no. I had this vision in my head that I’d have this beach body before, and after so visually no. But ultimately, I wanted to incorporate nutrition and exercise in my daily routine, and I did it!

What change happened to you this year that was unexpected from CityFit?  The connection I made with people via social media, as strange as that sounds. I’ve had a lot of people reach out to me about the journey. People I’ve never met before were sending me words of encouragement and helped keep me accountable. Plus, the connections I made with James, Nick, and Erin have just helped me keep in mind I don’t have to be perfect 100% of the time.

Initial vs Current InBody Results:
Weight: 172.8 lbs. > 167.4 lbs.
SMM: 64.6 lbs. < 68.3 lbs.
PBF: 33.2% > 27.5%
BMI: 27.9 > 27.0

Nick Baker, AFAA-CPT & Erin Bidlack, NASM-CPT

What are you most of the trainees for? I’m most proud that they’re doing what we ask them to do and staying consistent. They’re also signing up for all the wild things that we ask them to do, too, like the fun activities we do around town.

What has been the best thing about CityFit from your perspective? Just having that extra accountability for all of us.
