For more than 65 years, Daisy Delight has been serving diner classics such as charbroiled hamburgers, two flavor-twist ice cream, and Dole Whip soft serve (dairy- and gluten-free). Built in 1955, the business was originally just a drive-in with picnic tables next to the building. Since then, their menu has grown, but the small concrete block structure still remains today. In 1969, the building was expanded to fit dine-in seating. As Daisy Delight gained its popularity with travelers along what used to be Highway 50, they became a Jefferson City restaurant staple.

“Every day we have two or three customers who come through and say they were here when they were a kid and how happy they are to still see that it’s still here.” — Owner Jerry Bartel

Founded by a group of local farmers, The Covered Bridge Market opened its doors in 2018 to provide locally sourced meat products and seasonal produce in the heart of Russellville. The market offers homegrown beef and pork and is best known for its  award-winning curing and sausage recipes. If you’re feeling a bit hungry on your shopping trip, The Covered Bridge deli offers build-your-own sandwiches sold by the pound ($6.99 per pound), Central Dairy ice cream for $1 a dip, and in-store seating. In addition to their meats, you can also find locally raised chickens, provided by a student member of the Eldon FFA chapter, fresh farm eggs, and a discount grocery section.

“We’re your source for local, homegrown meat products, discount groceries, and a deli.” — Owner Mike Wyss
