SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital is pleased to announce the Jefferson City lab was reaccredited by the Accreditation Committee of the College of American Pathologists (CAP), based on results of a recent on-site inspection as part of the CAP’s Accreditation Programs. St. Mary’s Hospital lab is one of more than 8,000 CAP-accredited facilities worldwide. St. Mary’s first received CAP accreditation in 1985 and has been continuously reaccredited since.

The 2023 James A. DiRenna Sr., DO Appreciation Award was presented on behalf of the Missouri Society of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (MSACOFP) to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital and was received by Lenora Adams, DO. This award recognizes organizations that have shown continued support for the osteopathic profession and family medicine.
Lacey Clark, RN, was honored when she received the DAISY Award for her exceptional care of a patient. The nomination came from a former patient, who felt lucky to have been under her care. Each honoree is registered as part of the national program and receives a DAISY pin, a certificate of devotion, and a beautiful sculpture called “A Healer’s Touch.”

Dr. Ryan earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the University of Health Science, Kansas City and completed an internship and residency in orthopedics at Flint Osteopathic Hospital in Michigan. Dr. Ryan has special interest and knowledge in joint replacements for hips, knees, and shoulders.
