DR. ERIN GRAHAM has joined the dental office of Dr. Randal Scott. Dr. Graham earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of Missouri-Columbia and received her doctorate of dental surgery degree from University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Dentistry where she graduated cum laude. She recently completed a general practice residency at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine and Anschutz Medical Center.
DR. SCOTT GRISWOLD was awarded Capital Region Medical Center’s 2015 Physician of the Year Award at the annual board of governors meeting. Dr. Griswold, who is a family practice physician at Capital Region Physicians in Eldon, received his medical degree and completed his residency at MU. He is board certified by the American Board of Family Practice.
DR. PURVI PATEL, general internist, received her board certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Patel earned her medical degree from the University of Missouri – Kansas City. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Washington University – Barnes- Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
ADAM VEILE was elected a voting member of the board of directors at COMMUNIQUÉ, Inc. Veile was also re-elected as secretary, a position he has held for the past five years. Beginning his 12th year with the company, he is also vice president. Veile received his Bachelor of Arts degree in mass communications and English from Lindenwood University and a master’s degree in English from Missouri State University.
THE JEFFERSON CITY AREA YMCA BOARD OF DIRECTORS elected John Ruth as 2016 chairperson. Other elected officers include Cindy Dixon, chairperson-elect; Steve Buchholz, secretary; Jon Browning, treasurer; Brent VanConia, immediate past chairperson; Stu Murphy, member-at-large. Board of Trustees re-elected to fill three-year terms include Joan Firley, Mark Kaiser, Ski Mariea and Lee Wilbers. Those serving ongoing trustee terms include Cindy Blosser, Bernie Fechtel, Claudia Kehoe, Clyde Lear, Bob Robuck, Jeffrey Sanders, John Sheehan and Carl Vogel. New directors elected to a one-year term are Larry Linthacum, Gary Wheeler, Karla Dowden and Joseph Watkins. Directors re-elected to a two-year term include Vicki Myers, Fr. Stephen Jones, Brian Bernskoetter, Allyson Walker, Lonna Trammell and Jon Browning. Director re-elected to a three-year term is Mike Bates.
NICOLE BORRENPOHL, APRN, CNP joins Capital Region Physicians – Center for Mental Wellness. Borrenpohl received her Master of Science degree in nursing and adult psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner degree from Rush University in Chicago. She completed her nurse practitioner clinical residency program at Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences in Rochester, Minnesota.
TORI SCHNIEDERS joins Midwest Independent Bank as assistant vice president/compliance audit specialist. Previously, Schnieders worked at a local bank as a bank auditor and loan review analyst. She received both her Bachelor of Science with an emphasis in accounting science and a Master’s degree from MU.
SIX ALUMNI have recently been named to the 2016 Helias Hall of Fame. Inductees include James M. Huber, William J. Kremer, Pat Woods Seifert, Rita Mae Vanderfeltz, Helen Vossen and Gary Wisch. The induction banquet will be held on January 31.
DR. LAURA SIEVERT joins Capital Region Physicians – Radiology. Dr. Sievert received her medical degree from the MU School of Medicine where she also completed her residency in diagnostic imaging. She completed her fellowship in pediatric radiology at Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology, Washington University in St. Louis.
