The Jefferson City Police Department welcomes Eric Wilde as its new chief. This new appointment comes after the department’s former chief Roger Schroeder retired in March. Eric joined the JCPD in 1998 and worked in various roles including patrol, traffic, SWAT, and crisis negotiations. His goals as police chief are to improve the protocols currently in place, get the department more involved with the community, and improve staffing concerns.
