Indulgence meets sophistication and ease with this flavorful appetizer. Crafted with whipped goat cheese, local honeycomb from B’s Top Shelf Honey (learn more about them on page 25), and fresh sage on a toasted piece of artisan sourdough bread, this tartine is the perfect blend of sweet, tangy, and savory. From the velvety richness of the whipped goat cheese to the golden sweetness of the honeycomb and the herbaceous taste of the sage, each element has been thoughtfully curated to create a tartine that is not just a snack but a masterpiece.


Ingredients:

  • 4 ounces whipped goat cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 (½ inch thick) slices sourdough bread
  • 12 (1/4 inch thick) squares of honeycomb
  • 12 small sage leaves
  • Salt to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Spread butter over slices of sourdough bread, and put them in the oven for 4-6 minutes.
  3. After the bread is toasted, spread the whipped goat cheese on top of each sourdough slice. 
  4. Top whipped goat cheese with honeycomb, sage, and a sprinkle of
    sea salt. Repeat with remaining slices, place on a platter, and serve.
