How did you get into real estate?
I got into the industry when I was very young and craving a career versus a job. I loved the jobs and employers I worked with, but felt a strong inner drive to have a career and run my own business. I was born with an entrepreneurial spirit. As a child, when most kids were daydreaming about normal kid things, I was dreaming about my future business/career opportunities. I was networking before I knew what that word meant.
How do you stay current?
I’m a constant learner. I knew I had arrived when I realized I’ll never know it all. My industry is ever-changing and constantly evolving. Luckily, my personality allows me to easily shift if I realize a change needs to be made. As markets shift and evolve, I’m making changes in real-time to meet the market needs at that moment.
What’s one thing you wish everyone knew when it comes to real estate?
I wish more people understood that not all agents are exactly the same. All real estate agents are licensed, yet, just like licensed drivers can approach the road differently, agents have unique approaches regarding navigating a real estate transaction. I pride myself on adding value and services above and beyond the competition. Our clients have enjoyed the use of our moving trailer for years, and we recently added a dump trailer concierge service for our clients! Our clients love the added service and it’s a total game-changer when you’re prepping a home for the market!

Your smile is your logo, your personality is your business card, and the way you make others feel is your trademark.
Any awards or notables that we should know about?
I was recently inducted into the RE/MAX torchbearer group! That is RE/MAX’s 40 under 40, and without saying too much, let’s just say I squeaked in just in time with my upcoming birthday. The awards racked up over the years (RE/MAX Diamond Club, Titan Club, and the Lifetime Achievement Award) are humbling when I think about myself as a little girl growing up in a small town with more cows than people. I never began my real estate career with any financial expectations other than I wanted to be able to pay bills and do a job I loved. It’s been an incredible bonus to see such success leading the best in the industry on the Beth McGeorge Team. I’m beyond proud of my team and all they accomplish alongside me.
What’s your go-to industry-specific book/podcast you recommend?
I don’t have a single recommendation other than be careful whose advice you take. I’ve always made my own path in whatever I’m doing. Don’t feel pressure to do what everyone else is doing when it comes to business. If you are exactly like everyone else, why would they hire you? As you develop yourself as a professional, ensure you stay true to what you believe in.
What would you say are the top three skills needed to be a master realtor?
1. Integrity is a must. What you do when no one is looking defines who you are, in business and personally. Reputation is everything in real estate.
2. Tenacity and persistence are qualities that are a must to thrive in this business. I am successful because I will accomplish what I put my mind to. I apply that energy into my work representing clients and simply put, their success is my success. I love being known for my ability to make things happen.
3. Being empathetic and caring are also absolutely must-have qualities to properly serve clients. My preliminary conversations will always be geared toward understanding my clients’ needs. To fully serve, I need to understand their goals, needs, wants, fears, etc. It allows me to tailor my services to be exactly what my clients need at that moment. Moves can be very emotionally charged experiences and I pride myself on reducing stress in any way possible. As a nearly 20-year veteran in the industry, I’ve learned that I cannot remove all stressors, but I can do my part to make the process far less stressful and I’m told closings with me are just more fun!
