Ones To Watch & Impact JCMO, my what a sweet ride it’s been! We’ve been hard at work all summer, but the big celebration is finally here! While we invited our Impact honorees to take some classic portraits at Anthony Jenson’s studio, we challenged each Ones To Watch honoree to strap on a pair of skates and strut their stuff around Sk8te Zone for a photoshoot with photographer Keith Borgmeyer.

You can imagine the task of frantically shopping for outfits that perfectly match the retro roller rink theme, however, each honoree went above and beyond expectations with one recipient even bringing their own stylist to help them look their best. But their ability to accomplish such great tasks is why they were nominated to be a Ones To Watch, right?

While preparing for such a great event, we worked to put together our Shop. Dine. Live. JCMO special section. This year, we wanted to know the best places in Jefferson City, like Prison Brews and High Rise Bakery, to visit during each season. With the help of four residents who love to be out and about around town, we highlight local shops, delicious dishes, and parts of Jefferson City that the whole family can enjoy! Thankfully, we had a little set of helping hands to us keep organized around the office.

We also welcomed our August 2022 Young Ones To Watch recipient, Braeden Short. Braeden was Eugene High School’s 2022 valedictorian and is now attending his freshman year at Notre Dame double majoring in political science and economics. With having accomplished so much while living here in JC, we can’t wait to see where this journey takes him.
