What is your service?
Angie Finton Designs is a full-service interior design studio focused on functional designs that flow with your home and has form to reflect you and your family within it. Designs are created to help people from start to finish by providing one-on-one service in all aspects of the design process — specializing in kitchen and bath design as well as supplying layouts, 3D renderings, product sourcing, procurement, and project management.

What sets you apart from your competition?
I go to you. I consider all aspects of each household by listening and learning about you, and how you live and function in your home. I pay attention to the small details, research, collect quotes, coordinate a team of professionals, and create a schedule. I provide layouts and 3D renderings to visualize your selected materials in your project prior to installation. I see your project through from start to finish.

How do you stay current and up-to-date with changes in your industry?
By consistently researching, looking at market trends, consulting with trade professionals and wholesale reps, watching training videos, being associated with nation-wide designers, and attending trade markets.

What’s one thing you wish everyone knew about interior design?
Teamwork makes the dream work. Interior design is a process of planning, coordinating, and problem-solving. I am the person behind the curtain, keeping your project moving forward and on track.

How do you define success and how do you celebrate a win?
Success is creating a space that my clients enjoy. I feel successful when seeing their faces light up or hearing their excitement. Once a project is complete, I share in the clients’ excitement and celebrate with my family.

What would are the top three skills needed as an interior designer?
Communication, teamwork, and drive.
