Photography
When and how did you get into this industry?
I’d always had a camera in my hand growing up, and as I was finishing nursing school, I bought myself my first “big girl camera.” I grew to love everything about meeting new people, taking and editing photos. Six years ago, I decided to make it an official business, and I’ve only fallen more in love with this business.
What sets you apart from your competition?
I do have a style that I’ve worked hard at defining and I hope it’s something people immediately recognize. I also try to keep a very organized business, set apart with clear and consistent communication.
What skills are needed to be a master photographer?
The ability to adapt to new situations, communication skills, technical photography skills.
What’s your favorite part of your job?
When clients come back to book another session!
What are your future goals?
I plan to continue booking 15-20 weddings a year and more bookings with newborns, milestone sessions, and boudoir sessions. I’d also love to start doing some one-on-one mentoring sometime in the future.
Three words that best describe your business?
Trustworthy, natural, and consistent.
What are you most thankful for?
The people who are so willing to trust me with their most precious moments. I just can’t thank my clients enough for that and their constant support.
