Practice your poker face. With all the new home technology, you never know when a seller could be eavesdropping. You don’t want to hurt your negotiation power by showing how enthusiastic you are about the home while touring the home!

Work with an agent who will find out what’s most important to the seller. It isn’t always the highest price that wins the bidding war! Sometimes other contract terms (example: seller keeping possession of the home after closing for a couple of weeks) can be more enticing to the seller and knowing what the seller wants can help you get your dream home.
