Now is the time to begin with a bang. Here are a few suggestions to start your new year off right.
1. Doctor checkups.
Schedule for the year. Be a good CEO when it comes to your health. Your life depends on it.
2. Vacations and staycations.
Now is the time to plan where, when and with whom you would like to vacation. Schedule some stay-at-home time as well. Budget your money and time now for a less stressful escape later.
3. Change your heating/air filters.
Put a seasonal (three-month) reminder on your cell phone. Buy filters in bulk, so you will always have one on hand.
4. Simplify, sweetie.
Now is the time to shed all unnecessary things. New York best-seller, “The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up,” offers great advice for clearing the clutter.
5. Inspirational book of the year.
Find a book to help you reach your goals. Read, take notes and refer throughout the year whenever you need a boost or reminders.
6. Detail your car.
Most of us spend a lot of time driving, and this can be a great time for reflecting and problem solving. A clean, clutter-free car makes for a more pleasant experience.
7. Out with expired food.
Clean out your pantry and refrigerator. Expiration dates might surprise you. Be sure to wipe down and deodorize. White vinegar works like a champ.
8. Schedule BFF dates.
Make sure to schedule time each month to be with loved ones and friends. Time can sneak by without seeing those you love if you’re not intentional about it.
9. Get your 2016 planner.
Research which system will work best to help you stay organized and on time.
10. Revamp footwear.
Your feet support your entire body, and they deserve good care. Make sure your shoes are clean, repaired, stylish and comfortable. Discard or donate any shoes that no longer suit you.
